Fun with Jesus – Sledding

 

Sensed a snowball hitting my lower back.

“Come on Up.”

I did, thinking that we were going to have another snowball fight.  (See previous post.)

We went sledding instead.  Going downhill was so fast, I barely knew it was happening.

Me:  Could we do it again, but more slowly this time, so I can enjoy it?

Jesus:  Exactly!

I was in a custom-made sled for our comfort.   I wasn’t cold.

Next time down, I saw my long hair flying straight out behind me.

Me:  Does my hair get in Your way?

Jesus: Never!   Notice how you stopped at the same place? Selah

Me:  Yes…?

Jesus:  Trust Me.  It is most important right now.


Questions to ask Jesus:

·       Am I stopping You from taking me further?

·       How am I not trusting You?

·       Can we go sledding again?

Praise as warfare:  What the Evil One doesn’t want you to know! While preparing this blog, I encountered spiritual warfare.  Evidently the evil one doesn’t want me to post this conversation I had with God. Me:  I read, ‘nothing terrifies the devil and his demons like praise’.   Is this true, Lord?  God:  It doesn’t terrify them.  However, it IS a reminder, a tool for warfare and it does thwart them. Me:  I also read, ‘constant praise wards off depression, disappointments, despair’  Is this true? God:  Yes, remember the scripture, ‘Think on these things’? Fun with Jesus – Gingerbread House     Jesus was playing Peek-a-Boo with me in a Gingerbread house.     I’m outside watching Jesus peek at me through a window then disappear only to poke His head out through a different window.   Jesus flew up the chimney, quickly opened a door, looked out at me then closed it.   Jesus:   Come on inside. [Inside is adorable.   Gingerbread-ish.]   Jesus:   Come on.   We flew up to the 2 nd story loft and looked down. Me:   This is… unusual. Jesus:   [laughed] Me:   I like it. Jesus:   So do I.   Jesus goes into the kitchen, opens the oven and pulls out a cookie sheet with gingerbread cookies on it. Jesus:   Would you like one? Me: Yes, but aren’t they hot?
